A Strong Recommendation

Letters of recommendation often fall into a trap of giving too much praise and not enough evidence. It’s all well and good to say you like to learn new things, but without showing how it impacted your workplace, the AdCom won’t fully understand your strengths as a candidate.

When you discuss your letter with your recommender, try to come up with stories that demonstrate your actions and your impact, ideally with a quantification that proves how effective you were.
