It’s great to “think outside the box”, but using cliché’s like “think outside the box” ironically proves that you do not “think outside the box”.
Why? Because by using clichés, you are imitating other people rather than being original. Admissions committees want to get to know the authentic you. Don’t try to be someone you are not. Find your own voice!
